What is #TourTuesday?
I often ask myself if I drink enough water during the day. The true answer is that I don’t…my working answer is that I drink plenty of water that has been in turn brewed into coffee. If the amount of water I drank in a day equated to the amount of coffee I drank in a day, I would have a lake inside me that could hydrate a small village. This introduction doesn’t really lead anywhere. Shall we talk about the new layout of my website? That is probably the true intention of this post.
So, I decided to change the layout to a photo heavy design. I am going to explore the city weekly and post my photos under #TourTuesday. The posts would happen on Tuesdays, as you probably deduced on your own. I want to show the beauty that South Texas (mainly San Antonio) has to offer. I believed for so long that this city lacked culture and a specific draw that only cities like Houston or Austin had to offer. I was mistaken. While there may have not been such culture in this city about 10 years ago, I can attest that San Antonio and South Texas has become such a different place entirely. I see it, personally, as Austin’s shorter, quieter little brother. Take that however you want. In short, I want to show the world this beauty. I’ve already immersed myself in The Historic Pearl Brewery, and you can find those photos here. I plan on even traveling to different parts of Texas and showing off how different the state looks in different regions (it looks vastly different in San Angelo than Beaumont, just so you know).
I will also be in Southern California in August sometime, so I will plan on creating content and sharing it here. I will keep you all posted on the dates and locations that I am visiting (I’m still planning all of the schedule out). I’m excited for this little venture on my blog. The look is more me, whatever that means.
By the way, all of this rain we’ve been having has made it very interesting to see lakes and rivers that had since been dry and too low to function. You may expect some photos of those locations too. I’m just craving a beach trip. The plot thickens…
