Things wind up, and things wind down. It is no secret that I have a list of things to finish by the time Christmas comes this year (I promise to buy better presents this year). I'm currently in my last two courses for my graduate degree; I have never had more stress in my life, and I'm sure that there will be plenty of more occasions to say the previous statement. With that door coming to a close, I decided to plot my time wisely. I've started working a lot more and managing my diet very carefully. The guise of school has left me with plenty of excuses to avoid living a healthier lifestyle. Why could I not just admit to myself that Taco Bell or Chipotle are my go-to options for late night cuisine?
A couple weeks back I downloaded an app called MyFitnessPal. I've been using it religiously for that time and have this innate motivation to record the air I breathe for caloric intake. I started at 300 pounds, and now I'm down to 295. This has happened in a matter of two weeks. A YouTuber named Adorian Deck recently talked about how he lost 20 pounds in one month - diet and proper exercise. What a concept! I've tried gimmicks and supplements, all of which have not worked for me. But let me tell you: diet and exercise have been the only thing working for me so far. I want to get into amazing shape and live a better life for myself.
I'm changing gears a little bit here. Instead of cramming for school or staying up late writing theses, I'll be working out more and eating better. What a prudent trade off.
